Posterior stabilization is used to support cervical alignment and spinal stability. The screw–rod construct also provides fixation options for decompression, reconstruction and deformity correction.

Laminectomy or other decompression procedures may be performed when indicated to relieve pressure on the spinal cord and nerve roots.
